VINN PATARARIN is a multi-disciplinary fashion design studio based on cutting-edge experimentation on textiles and architecture with the core questions of material and space to express and unfold the users’ selves. Throughout modern society, the rush of time and chaotic lives delay the reflective practice, occasionally stepping back to ponder the meaning of transpiration in an immediate environment. With a lack of time and space, the emergence of pandemics, and anxiety about environmental destruction, humans seek the biophilic trend to respond to a sense of home by using nature as a core sanctuary. Essentially, nature becomes a driving source of separation behind many physical, psychological, and emotional alignments pervasive in modern-day society. By functioning as a multi-sensory environment, nature is a well-known method of creating a safe space and calming atmosphere to allow respite away from agitation and anxiety. The human self can be refined through the therapy of the human senses, in which multiple senses can be integrated and stimulated by natural mediums, such as flowers, to resonate through the concept of floriography. Thus, the SENSE workshop offers the space and time for participants to activate their human senses, including visual, sound, odour, touch, taste, and movement, through activities of flower arrangement, textile vase weaving, and flower tea tasting to unfold their hidden messages of the current emotional expression within the therapeutic group setting.
