AHRC funded the research on the AgeingHood Project on the topic “Protecting the Livelihoods of Vulnerable People in Klong Toey, Bangkok”. The research on AgeingHood project is a 12-month research project conducted in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, The University of Sheffield (School of Architecture, University of Sheffield), England and the Department of Architecture. Kasetsart University (KU), Bangkok, Thailand. The research project aims to explore three common human life aspects: ageing, housing and livelihoods of low-income people in the Klong Toei community. The main goal of this research project is to support initiatives led by low-income citizens. As a result of the unsafe housing situation they are facing, or the welfare of most residents in the Khlong Toei community, especially older people dependent on them, which depends on living for living in the context of that research living life or way of life means residents who use their personal space for an individual business based on various homes to support themselves and their families.
